IQ Glass designs and installs bespoke internal steel framed doors, screens and partitions for luxury residential and commercial interiors. These systems are used to divide internal spaces while maintaining light flow, visibility and a strong architectural finish.

The steel profiles can be designed with vertical and horizontal glazing bars to create industrial, Art Deco or broken-plan interior schemes. Single doors, double doors, pivot doors, sliding doors and fixed glazed screens can be combined to suit the layout of the project.

Internal Steel Partitions

Unlike other industrial style internal door systems, all the framing sections of the steel internal systems are manufactured from high-quality architectural metal and is available in a range of designs, not just powder-coated steel.

As well as fixed internal glass screens, the range includes a variety of opening glass doors with a slim steel frame. The internal doors within system can either be single, double, door with fixed screens, pivot doors or sliding doors depending on your preference. The opening doors have an extremely slim steel frame surrounding them. The resulting internal doors can either be used within an internal glass screen or on their own within a structural wall opening.

All ironmongery and hinges have been expertly chosen to ensure a cohesive industrial steel door design, in keeping with the exacting standards that our clients have. As the transoms and mullion designs within these internal glass doors are optional and bespoke it opens the door to a huge range of internal door designs, all with luxury design and artisan-style at their heart.

Project Example

One of IQ's best examples of internal steel framed doors is Savile Row Offices in the heart of London. The office had a complete overhaul once covid had passed and therefore required high quality steel framed, fire rated systems to separate meeting rooms from walkways etc.

IQ completed a wide range of architectural glazing projects throughout the Savile Row expansion. These specialised glazing features custom architectural metalwork, ultramodern disappearing facades with minimal windows, classic steel art deco Mondrian® Windows and Doors, and opulent welded steel room divider screens.

A prominent feature of the glazing design package was the construction of an incredible winter garden made of steel and glass on the roof, which serves as a breakout space. A simple steel framework was used to form the rooftop glass box, supporting the structural glass roof and facades. These steel supporting components have a distinctive and exquisite finish thanks to the ornamental powder coat treatment.

Steel framed internal glazing for broken-plan interiors

Interior designers have been moving the popular open plan interior designs towards broken plan living. Creating rooms within rooms has quickly grown in popularity over the years among interior designers.
